Azalea Couture

My fashion illustration, “Azalea Cotoure,” rendered with digital painting, portrays a woman adorned in a dress made entirely out of giant pink flower petals. The floral material of the dress embodies the beauty and transcendence of earth with womanhood and girlhood. The flowing lines of the dress conveys a sense of movement and lightness, while the enormity of it showcases an image of boldness. My intention with this artwork is to represent the relationship between femininity and nature. Nature's delicate beauty and power mirrors femininity, as both possess an innate strength and resilience that belies their gentle appearance.

Jungle Baddie

As seen in “Azalea couture,” The fashion illustration “Jungle Baddie,” painted with digital painting, is a continuation of this kinship between femininity and nature as part of a series called "Nature Girlies." This design is a fusion of the big and tough jungle leaves Calidora and Alocasia to form this ethereal sundress. In rendering this, I drew inspiration from Tash Sultana’s dynamic song “Welcome to the Jungle.”

Sisters

This is an acrylic painting of sisters intertwined through the light and the dark, the good and the bad. Haven painted "Sisters" during a difficult time when one girl was especially there for her. These sisters are represented in this painting by two abstracted dancers formed through an arrangement of intersecting, black and white, organic shapes.
